Safety use of the water pump
Safety use and maintenance of the water pump：
 For the sake of safety, do not use the water pump to draw flammable or corrosive liquid (such as gasoline and acid). Do not use water pump to draw sea water, chemical solution and alkaline liquid (such as used engine oil) as well.
To avoid fire, keep the water pump well-ventilated and keep the water pump at least one-meter distance from the wall of buildings or other devices, Keep the water pump away from inflammable substances.
At the initial period when engine works or stops, do not touch muffler and other high-temperature parts. Move or store the water pump indoors only after the engine and the water pump are cooled down.
Gasoline is highly inflammable and will explode in certain conditions. In oil filling and oil storage areas, smoking and lighting fires are strictly forbidden.
Put the water pump in a firm and horizontal place to prevent overflow of fuel caused by leaning or overturning of the water pump.
Please fill gasoline when the engine stops and when it is in well-ventilated conditions. Do not let gasoline overflow out of the fuel tank. If gasoline spills by accident, it shall be dried immediately. After filling gasoline, do cover the fuel tank cap and tighten it.
Do not operate engine in indoor or unventilated place. This is because there is toxic carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas of engine and it may make people lose consciousness or even cause death.
Do not let kids and pets enter water pump working areas so as to avoid injury. |

Before operation, please carefully read and comprehend the instruction manual, and strictly observe safety regulations and operation regulations.
When using water pump, always wear safety glasses and ear muff. |
Using skills
Storage skills
Remove drain plug, clean the inside of the water pump with clean water and totally dry it to keep the water pump clean and prevent frostbite.
Close fuel tap, dismantle oil drain bolt of carburetor and evacuate the gasoline in the carburetor.
During the storage period, cover water inlet and water outlet to prevent impurity and scrap to enter the water pump. |
Starting skills
Place the water pump in places near water sources.
Before starting the engine, do fill water into water pump: screw off water filling bolt from output flange of the water pump and fill clean water until the water pump is full.
Pump operation is forbidden if there is no water in the pump casing.
Start water pump and appropriately limit the water outlet to reduce start-up time.
For the water outlet pipe, it is better to use hose with relatively short length and larger diameter, which can reduce liquid flowing friction and increase discharge capacity of the water pump.
When stopping the water pump, water flows out of the suction pipe. When reusing the water pump, it needs to be refilled with water. |
Notes:
Do not exceed regulated total pump lift. If the total pump lift exceeds maximum value, the water pump may overheat before liquid enters casing pipe and thus may damage sealing. Therefore, please try to use the shortest pump lift.
Please fill water first before each use. If engine is started before filling water, the engine shall be stopped and fill water after water pump is cooled down.
Leave no sand or silt in the filter screen and place the filter screen in the barrel or on a stone.
Keep all the connection sealed.
Always use filter screen at the ends of suction hose.
Do not use water pump to transport fuel oil, solvent, engine oil or any flammable liquid.
Do not touch effluent of the water pump with hand or body. |
